FAQ
I can't skate at all. Where do I start?
Start with an adult learn-to-skate class (step 1). Warrior Ice Arena, for example, runs separate Adult Learn to Skate and Adult Learn to Play programs.
Do I need my own gear?
It depends. Warrior's programs include skate rentals, while The Edge's adult public hockey requires full equipment. See the starter gear guide.
Is a 'D league' for beginners?
Some are. The Hockey Academy describes its Woburn and Boxborough Novice/D leagues as designed for low novice players or those very new to the game. Ask before you sign up.
